Meet Caitlin Elias, the dedicated breastfeeding and motherhood advocate behind Bright Start Baby.
Caitlin is deeply committed to empowering families. She has over 15 years experience in women's health, having previously worked as postpartum director and parent educator for a free-standing birthing center, as well as creating a robust maternity program for a Fortune 500 Company. She has helped hundreds of new mothers and their families with lactation and postpartum support in her years of service.
As a mother of three, Caitlin has personally conquered her own breastfeeding challenges and unique paths with each baby. Her first-hand experience has given her a deep understanding and empathy for the challenges new parents face; she provides support and compassion, recognizing the significance of mental health, policies, unrealistic expectations and other barriers shaping and affecting the breastfeeding and postpartum experience.
The ultimate goal for Caitlin is to empower parents, allow them to define their own breastfeeding success, and help them discover what truly works for them.
"Caitlin has been so incredibly kind to support all the concerns and questions we have. She has also been fantastic in celebrating with us on the progress and wins we have had. Caitlin is incredibly knowledgeable and stays up to date on every topic we have asked. It really is impressive on how much she knows and shares with us. From a health care provider and delivery perspective, she has been the most prepared clinician I have ever met. She has always stayed up to date with our information and progress and reiterates the topics during our sessions."
"My wife and I have been working with Caitlin throughout our pregnancy and into the 4th trimester with our son. I could not have asked for a better support person to have helped us along the way. Selfishly speaking, she also takes time to ask how ‘dad’ is doing in each of our sessions and that honestly means more than you know. I know the primary focus is on Mom/Baby for their health but knowing that someone takes the time to check in on dad, really means the world."
"Caitlin leave us feeling like we have (and know we do) her to lean on and support us throughout this growth period in our lives. That really helps us as the patient(s) mentally feel so much better, especially during a pandemic where it has left us new parents feel isolated and on an island to keep our family safe and healthy. Additionally, Caitlin has focused on the entire picture from physical to mental health. I really cannot thank her enough for all that she’s done for my family."
"One of the best clinicians I have interacted with in all my life... I really am thankful to have Caitlin here to help us navigate, learn, and grow. We would not have made it this far without her."
"I had my third baby this year and when I tell you I WISH I'd had a consultation with Caitlin the first time around... I have learned so much from her and feel so supported in motherhood. Caitlin has validated and supported me in motherhood in a way I didn't even know I needed. I am so, so grateful for her as I breastfeed and as I pump to be able to have some much-needed time away from my baby!"
"Caitlin-thank you thank you thank you thank you. I really cannot put it in words what it means to us for all that you have done and helped us through."
